We took a trip to the castle of Hohenzollern. This castle was originally built by a the family in the 1100's and they eventually became the most powerful family in Germany. The first King of Prussia came from them in the 1800's. This was our last trip with Angie. We all mourned her departure. We tried to throw her in the dunguen to make her stay. I didn't find the dungeon.
This is my (Kyle's) Harry Potter castle as I was reading my first Harry Potter book when I visited this castle the first time.

New Years Celebration
This year we had quite the new years party. It was actually one of my favorite new years and I didn't stay up past 10:30. We had a dance party with Dad accompanying us on his flute (not pictured).
We started with Fajitas for dinner. Mexican food is not very common in Germany so we had to make our own tortillas. Elli kneaded and rolled her own. She was very proud.
We then played "Birdie Toss"
and Charades
We finished our evening with some leftover Christmas Cheesecake, some Shorle (German fizzy juice) and a few episodes of Bob the Builder. Abby said "Bob" "Bob" for the rest of the night.
At midnight we awoke to the neighbors blastin off fireworks, not just the little ones on the ground, they were the big blossoms of red and green in the sky. All the neighbors had a personal arsonal and they went off all during evening with alot right at midnight. The air all around our house was full of smoke. I am amazed the girls slept through it.
