Gingerbread Extravaganza

Gingerbread is my favorite Christmas "flavor". This year Elli helped me make some. (she is more enthusiastic about it than she looks).

It turned into a little trauma though. After we had hung the gingerbread on the tree, we heard....thud....

The scavengers weren't far off.

We continued to hear the occasional thud all day. I guess the humidity of Germany was too much for the little guys.

The Amazing Alps

The Abby (and Elli) Show

Maybe you too have experienced the dancing frog syndrome.

Child waves enthusiastically, every time you are not trying to show someone.

Abby has just learned to wave but uses it at her discretion.

Nuremberg Christmas Market

We went to this market last Saturday. This children's choir was really neat. They all have such great German accents!

Zurburt through the veil

Abby is kissing our glass door. This kindof reminded me of when I was pregnant with her. I could kind of see her personality and who she would be, but it was hazy. And I used to see her hands push on my tummy from the inside out. I'm a little sentimental because today is her birthday. Happy Birthday Abbs.

Happy Halloween!

This our costume, Samuel the Lamanite on the Wall of Zarahemla (me).
Samuel was missing his (her) headband and feather, but I think most people got the idea after a few times of explanation. Abby has "Samual the Lamanite" on her front and "Repent" on her back.
We used house paint that the last renters left for us here for the bricks.

Gaertringen, Germany

Our little city on 10,000 people. Mostly German but atleast 5 Americans. That is a Lutheran Church steaple. We took this during one of our Sunday walks while the weather was still good. We are seeing a few more rainy days lately.

Our cute red door

Pretty girls on our doorstep.

Goodbye Santa Rosa

We took this during our final weeks in Santa Rosa. We had to photoshop this one because we didn't have two pictures with both girls looking.
